Good afternoon, Amigos!
Today's prayer request is very simple & straightforward. And perhaps a bit disturbing to some.
The Bad
I need to offload a significant amount of fluid today. Right now, I'm probably in the 15-20 pound range. (meaning, I'm up about that much) There's the disturbing prayer request.
The Good
The reason for the request above is, we've been told by Dr. Hwu (female...not the same guy as last time, and no relation) that she'd like to ship us outta here tomorrow! But, in order for that to happen, see "disturbing prayer request" above.
The Ugly
Well, that's me. All the time, but especially at fightin' wt. + 28 lbs, as I was Thursday.
Thanks for praying for us! I hope this prayer is not too disturbing to your theology...

It's not so good to you, but most women would love to be able to drop that much weight by tomorrow; many pay lots of money to have it done. I'll be praying that it happens in the easiest way possible, if that's possible.
Father God I thank You for all the many blessing You give us. Thank You for putting this family in my life Lord they are at a bend in the road and we know You will make our path straight if we follow you daily. Lord proctect Mikes children and comfort them lead them in only You could Lord. Give Lisa rest and peace of mind Lord. Lord put Your healing hands on Mike and let the wieght fall off so he can go home. Use this IL-2 to rid his body of the cancer Lord. John 14;13-14 And whatever you ask in My name that I will do that the Father may be Glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name I will do it. IN JESUS NAME AMEN
Shedding 20 pounds of excess? I hate to even imagine how that is accomplished. I am so tempted to really bad humor, but I'll show some restraint. May what needs to get done, get done.

Just letting you know that I am keeping up with and praying for you. Hope you can head back this way tomorrow. Hope you recover quickly and that the IL2 did the trick. The session at Woodland Pres. prays for you when we meet and you have been lifted up in several worship services. Many at PCS are aware of your situation and praying for you as well.

This type stuff means a lot more, I'm sure, in a situation like yours.
Surely you jest about us being disturbed by the content of your request.....WAY too much of the humor at the Strider house revolves around potty issues, so we will delight in praying for your bladder to work overtime!! If only you were here in the "boon dox" you would have an entire backyard bathroom at your disposal!!! Every man's dream I know....Oh the joys of being an old mama to young children!!! Take care, my friend, and know that we will keep the prayers coming for brighter days ahead!! We love you much!!
